2016 MEETING REPORTS

 

2016 marks my 28th year as a full time Evangelist conducting Revivals, Stewardship Conferences, Mission Conferences and Special Sunday Only Services. One of our most used meetings now is the Super Weekend meeting with five services Friday night through Sunday night. We are looking forward to the continued blessings of the Lord on the preaching of His word. Thanks to each one who had a part in this ministry .

 

2016 REPORTS

JANUARY

Sunday-Wednesday, January 3rd-6th we were with Pastor Frank Fason at Faith Fellowship Baptist Church in Naylor, AR for their Stewardship Conference. It was well attended, good decisions were made concerning their Stewardship for 2016 and I enjoyed the time of Preaching, the fellowship and the good food. It was good time for all involved and God blessed in a wonderful way.
 

Sunday January 10th we were with Pastor Gary Miller at Fundamental Baptist Church in Palmer, TX for a New Year's challenge Sunday. I preached three times, one adult joined the Church, one teen was saved in the services and one teen who had been saved previously came forward for baptism. It was a wonderful day for us and the Miller's exended such grand hospitality. We enjoyed our meals and fellowship with them. Bro. Miller has been Pastor there for 10 years.

Sunday-Wednesday January 17th-20th We were with Pastor Eric Crawford at Heritage Baptist Church in Haslet, TX for their annual Stewardship Conference. I have preached this Conference for the 15 years they have been in existence and each time I am amazed at their growth and the continued building program. A good work going for the Lord.

Thursday January 21st I preached for the Mt. Abarim Baptist MIssions Conference at Worth Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX. This annual meeting is the heartbeat of this great Missions organization and is headed up by Dr. Billy Patterson. Dr. Mike Patterson is still greatly involved but stepped down for the office of President due to health problems and Dr. Billy Patterson is doing a good job of leading this work. I always enjoy being with the folks who attend this meeting and those who host the meeting.

Sunday-Wednesday January 24th-27th We were with Pastor Dan Carr at Faith Baptist Church in Gulfport, MS for their annual Stewardship Conference. This was my third year to be there and each year has been better and better for me. Bro. Carr has been there for thirty years and they have just completed a new building and are looking at building a new auditorium in the near future. They continue to win souls and grow.

Sunday January 31st we were with Pastor Paul Shearin at Bible Baptist Church in Hillsboro, TX for their first Faith Promise Mission Conference at this one year old Church. They are growing and at the present time are renovating a part of their building to use as their new auditorium. It is always good to be with a new Church plant.

FEBRUARY

Sunday-Wednesday February 7th-10th we were with Pastor Mark Brown at Maranatha Baptist Church in Columbus, GA for their annual Stewardship Conference. This was my second time to be with Bro. Brown since he became Pastor at Maranatha and it was a blessing for us to enjoy the fellowship with the Browns, their staff and people. It was unusually cold for this time of year in Georgia but the crowds were good and the meeting was blessed of God. We look forward to returning in the future.                                          

Wednesday-Friday February24th-26th we were with Pastor Mike Wells at Parkside Baptist Church in Mesquite, TX for their second Faith Promise Missions Conference. I had preached for Bro.Wells about 20 years ago in Union, TN and then he had been in Evangelism for a number of years before coming to Parkside as Pastor about 6 years ago. It was a joy to get reaquainted and be a part of their marvelous increase in their commitments for Missions this coming year.

MARCH

Sunday March 6th I was with Pastor Tony Howeth at Newton Baptist Church in Covington, GA for a Special Stewardship Sunday. It was a wonderful day with good music, a sweet spirit and a full altar during the invitation Sunday night. The day was well planned and the hosptiality of the Pastor and Church was amazing. This was my second time to be with Bro. Howeth and I am looking forward to returning next March.

Sunday March 13th I was with Pastor Curtis Harrrington at Bufford Grove Baptist Church in Hilliard, Fl for the 2nd Sunday of their Missions Month. I enjoyed a wonderful day with old friends and the great hospitality of Bro. Harrington. I have been preaching for them for about the last 18 years and am always blessed to be there.

Sunday-Wednesday March 20th-23rd we were with Pastor Bill Hardin at McPherson Road Baptist Church in Forth Worth, TX for their Stewardship Conference and it was a good meeting with good attendance and the messages were well received. Bro. Hardin has been with the Church over 30 years and is doing great.

Thursday-Sunday March 24th-27th we were with Pastor Gary Schwer at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Mesa, AZ for their Easter Revival. I preached five times on "A journey to the Cross" and we enjoyed a good meeting with the Church folks and visitors. Bro. Schwer continues to improve his properties and build.

APRIL

Friday-Sunday April 1st-3rd we were with Pastor Dave Seifert at Twin Cities Baptist Temple in Texarkana, TX for their annual Faith Promise Missions Conference  and as always we enjoyed being with old friends and Missionaries and it is always a joy to be involved in helping Missionaries as they preach the Gospel around the world. Bro. Seifert just completed a new remodel for their fellowship hall...looks great.

Sunday-Wednesday April 11th-13th I was with Pastor Shane Ogdie at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Tyler, TX for their Stewardship Conference and it was a wonderful meeting with many decisions made concerning being good Stewards of all God has allowed us to have. There was a spirit of revival during the meeting and I was blessed to be with Bro. Ogdie.

Sunday-Wednesday April 17th-20th we were with Pastor J D Tyson at Grace Baptist Church in Conway, AR for their Stewardship Conference and God blessed in unusual ways. The attendance was good and the response to the preaching was good, the spirit was good and the fellowship and hospitality was wonderful. We enjoyed seeing family and old friends during our time there and were blessed as usual. I  have been preaching at Grace for over 25 years now and have many friends there.

Sunday-Wednesday April 24th-27th we were with Pastor J R McDonald at Calvary Baptist Church in Eufaula, OK for their annual Faith Promise Mission Conference. Bro. McDonald advised me that they had a wonderful increase in their promised Mission giving. We enjoyed the hosptality and fellowship of the McDonalds and Church folks. A good time.

MAY

Sunday May 1st we were at Bible Baptist Church in Hillsboro, TX filling the pulpit for Pastor Paul Shearing. The Church is almost two years old and they are currently remodeling a part of the building they purchased and that will give them a larger auditorium as well as open up room for Sunday School rooms. We enjoyed being with these good folks

Sunday May 15th we were with Pastor Randy Tewell at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Theodore, Al for a special Sunday following the marriage of their daughter on Friday . The services were  well received with many in the altar and one saved Sunday morning, then a great service on Sunlday night. Wanda and I always are blessed to be with this good Church, Pastor and family and look forward to returning in the future.

Sunday-Tuesday May 22nd-24th we were with Pastor Greg Hawn  at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Altus, OK for their Stewardship Conference. I preached 5 times and the messages were well received and the folks were excited about the decisions made by Christians concerning their giving to the Lord. Bro. Hawn has been there 12 years and continues to do a good work for the Lord. Always blessed to be with them.

Sunday May 29th we were with Pastor Marc Smith and family at Corsicana, TX for a special Sunday and we enjoyed a wonderful time. I preached three times, we had two meals with the Smiths and we enjoyed their hospitality, fellowship and friendship as well as our time with the Church folks. I had been with them before in one of their "Beams" rallies and am scheduled to be back with them next year for their annual rally.

 

JUNE

Sunday June 5th we were with Pastor Jesse Wilson at Mid-Cities Baptist Church in Haltom City, TX for the closing Sunday of their Missions Emphasis month and it was a good time together with these forks. Their Faith Promise Missions Comittments were three times what they had been giving each week and there was a spirit of Revival in the Church as the results were shared after the two  services on Sunday. They are expecting some great things to take place in the Church as a result of the meeting. We enjoyed our time with Bro. Wilson and his family.

Saturday June 18th we drove up to Amarillo, TX and Sunday I filled in for Pastor Aaron Denson at Arden Road Baptist Church. We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday with the male quartet from Heartland College singing before I preached and then we enjoyed a great lunch with some of the staff and the quartet in the dining area of the Church. I preached the evening service and then we enjoyed a meal with our hosts of the day, Bro. Cody Allen and wife Paula.

Wednesday-Sundaay June 22nd-26th we were with Pastor Chris Winkle at Bible Baptist Church of Rendon, TX for their Stewardship Conference. It was well attended every service and the building was full for the Stewardship Banquet Sunday evening with a delicious meal of Bar-B-Que and sides, good music and fellowship and I spoke for about 15 minutes and then the comittments were received for the next 12 months. There was a wonderful spirit during the meeting and we were blessed.

JULY 

Sunday July 10th we were with Pastor Furgus Tunnell at Westbrook Baptist Church in Clovis, NM for a Special Stewardship Sunday. I preached three times, 6 were saved in the morning service and a good number of other decisions were made concerning Stewardship. Bro. Tunnell is has been Pastor at Westbrook for 12 years and is doing a good job. We enjoyed his fellowship and hospitality during our time there and enjoyed seeing his family again.

Sunday July 17th we were with Pastor Ted Patterson at Jacksonville Baptist Temple in Jacksonville, AR for their 22nd anniversary service. It was an amazing day with testimonies of what the Church has meant to various members, a Missionary to Africa sent out from JBT was there and gave a presentation and I preached the morning service. It was followed by a wonderful lunch for all the Church and then they had a great service Sunday night. They have enjoyed a great 22 years blessed of God.

Sunday July 31st we were with Pastor Tim Gibson at Sweet Springs Baptist Church in Huntsville, MO  for a Special Sunday.  We attended the wedding of Caleb Gibson Saturday evening and then I preached twice Sunday to good crowds. It was a special time with good friends and God blessed. They are continuing to remodel all of their buildings and it is looking wonderful. Bro. Gibson has been there 18 years and I have preached there the last 16 years.

                               AUGUST 

Sunday August 7th we were at Central Baptist Church in Center, TX filling in for Pastor Danny Dodson who was away with a group of teenage boys at a camp. I preached three time and enjoyed great liberty from the Lord. Mrs. Dodson and Church secretary, Mary Moore were our hosts and we enjoyed a wonderful meal with them and some wonderful fellowship. I have been preaching here for Bro. Dodson for over 25 years and always enjoy being there.

Wednesday August 10th we were at Ambassador Baptist Church in Weatherford, TX filling in for Pastor John Adams during their vacation. We always enjoying being there and seeing what is happening with this young Church as it continues to make its mark in Parker County. We enjoyed fellowship with some of the members after Church

Sunday August 21st we were with Pastor Eddy Johnson at Central Baptist Church in Gainesville, TX for the 63rd anniversary of the Church. Bro. Johnson presented a history of the Church and honored all previous Pastors during the Sunday School hour and I preached the morning service, we enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by the Church folks and then I preached in an afternoon service. It was a delightful time of good memories and fellowship.

Sunday August 28th we were with Pastor Roy Webster at Grayson Bible Baptist Church in Sherman, TX for a special Sunday. I preached three times, the altars were used and there was a wonderful spirit in the Church. We enjoyed old fashion hymnbook singing and fellowship and then had a marvelous time of enjoying the hospitality of Bro. Webster and his family for a good lunch at Cracker Barrel and a great hamburger that evening at Tracks, Bro. Websters favorite hamburger place. We were blessed with a good day.

Wednesday August 31st we were with Pastor Keith Taylor at Southside Baptist Church in Denison, TX and I preached the evening service and then Thursday morning, September 1st they hosted the Red River Valley Pastors Fellowship and I preached the closing message of the meeting. We greatly enjoyed the fellowship and hospitality of the Taylors, the Church folks and all the Preachers that came in on Thursday morning. Allways blessed to be at Southside.

SEPTEMBER

Sunday September 11th we were with Pastor Todd Lassiter at Trinity Baptist Church in Arlington, TX for their annual Stewardship Conference. I preached three times Sunday and then returned Wednesday for the final service. This was our first time to do the Sunday and Wednesday Conference and it worked out great. This was my 28th year to be with them and God blessed in a wonderful way. Always enjoy being there.

Sunday, September 18th I preached at my home Church, Joshua Baptist Church in Joshua, TX, during the absence of our Pastor. It was a great day with good attendance, two were saved and other decisions were made at the altar by Christians. Pastor Wolfenbarger was able to be there for the Sunday night service and we enjoyed hearing him preach the Word. We are always blessed to be at our home Church.

Sunday, September 25th, we were with Pastor J R McDonald at Calvary Baptist Church in Eufaula, OK for the Churches 39th Anniversary. It was a great day with good attendance, many visitors were there, members testified of Calvaries influence in their life and many had been saved at Calvary. The Church provided a wonderful meal and I enjoyed preaching twice and being a part of what God is doing there.

Monday-Wednesday September 26th-28th I was with Pastor  C V  Kimble at Faith Baptist Church in Teague, TX for their 20th Anniversary celebration. Bro. Lynn Mclain from the Atlanta, GA area and Bro. Wayne Hudson from Fort Worth were there Sunday-Wednesday and I joined them for the Monday-Wednesday services and it was a good time with old friends and a good Church

Sunday, October 9th we were with Pastor John Adams at Ambassador Baptist Church and I preached their evening service. I enjoyed being there, as always, and we enjoyed some fellowship and food at Crackerbarrel after Church. This is a young Church with a new building in an area that is preparing for huge growth starting at this present time with a very large housing development just down the highway from their location.

Sunday, October 16th we were with Pastor Doug Ellis at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Roanoke, TX for a Super Sunday. I preached the morning service, the Church served lunch and we gathered together again for the afternoon service and I preached once more. It was a great day and Wanda and I always enjoy being there. Each year since the Church was organized we have been honored to be with them and it is always a good time for us.

Sunday, October 23rd we were with Pastor Jesse Wilson at Mid-Cities Baptist Church in Haltom City, TX for a special Sunday with them. This was my 4th time to be with them and I enjoyed preaching twice to a receptive congregation. There was a good response at the altar and after the morning service, we enjoyed a meal with Bro. Wilson, his wife and some of their family. We are always blessed to be with them and look forward to our next opportunity to be a Mid-Cities.

Sunday, October 30th I was with Pastor Curtis Harrington at Buford Grove Baptist Church in Hilliard, FL for their annual Homecoming services plus the burning of the mortgage on their new building. They have been greatly blessed in building a beautiful building and paying it off in just 10 years. It was a good time of visitors being present, Church members celebrating victories and a time of fellowship and food . I have been preaching for them for 20 years and enjoy their friendship.

NOVEMBER

Sunday-Wednesday November 6th-9th we were with Pastor Allan Jackson at Faith Baptist Church in Greenbrier, AR for their second annual Stewardship Conference. I preached 6 times and the folks responded in a wonderful way to the challenge to become faithful stewards. Wanda and I enjoyed the fellowship and friendship of the Jacksons and the Church members. Their hospitality is exceptional and we are very appreciative of all they do for us. 

Sunday-Wednesday November 13th-16th we were with Pastor Brian Fisher at Longvue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX for their 3rd annual Stewardship Conference. I have been honored to preach all three of the meetings and God has blessed each one of our times together. There were several testimonies from members at the close of the  Conference as to how God had helped them during the meeting. Looking forward to next year, the Lord willing.

Sunday, November 20th I was with Pastor Mark Boyd at Sun View Baptist Church in Pelham, AL for a special Sunday leading up to their annual special offering Sunday which will be used in their building program. They have purchased 24 acres of land and already  moving dirt and planning for their first phase building. The folks are excited and the spirit of the Church is wonderful. Bro. Boyd has done a good job of leading the Church.
